Rust Engineer - Distributed Systems

We are hiring for a stealth startup in the fintech industry, who are working on an exciting new project: a distributed financial accounting database, built with Rust. We're in search of talented individuals with a passion for innovation and a knack for problem-solving.

The Role

We are looking for a seasoned Rust Engineer with a strong background in distributed systems and database design. The ideal candidate should be capable of taking charge of the technical aspects of the project, demonstrating leadership skills, and owning the results.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust distributed financial accounting database solutions using Rust
• Understand the project's architecture, contributing to the design and execution of the database
• Lead the technical aspects of the project, ensuring quality and performance
• Take ownership of the system's functionality, working proactively to identify and fix potential issues
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in Rust development and distributed systems to continually innovate our product

Requirements

• At least few years of professional experience as a Rust Engineer
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles and technologies
• Experience in database design and architecture is highly desirable
• Proven ability to lead a project and take full ownership of its technical aspects
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an innovative mindset
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
