RustJobs We’re looking for a skilled Rust backend engineer to build scalable APIs and high-performance backend systems in a fast-growing open-source environment. This is a great opportunity for engineers passionate about OSS development and contributing to widely used projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop high-performance backend systems in Rust
- Build scalable APIs and optimize for edge cases and performance
- Contribute to and maintain open-source projects
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new features
- Work with relational databases, ORMs, and SQL to ensure efficient data management
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of Rust experience
- TypeScript experience is a strong plus
- Experience contributing to popular OSS projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for open-source development
- Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows
- Experience with real-time frameworks (WebSockets, Socket.IO) is a plus
