Rust Tech Lead

We are a VC-funded startup in the developer tooling space, committed to revolutionizing the way developers work. Having recently raised a seed round, we are in the early stages of expanding our team and are looking for a Technical Lead to join us on our journey to growth and innovation.

Role Overview:

As a Technical Lead, you will play a critical role in driving the technical direction of our team. You will leverage your strong Rust skills to lead our engineering efforts, translate product requirements into actionable engineering deliverables, and help unblock team members when needed. You will thrive in our dynamic startup environment and possess excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively interact with our developer user base and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team technically with strong Rust skills.
• Strategically translate product requirements into engineering artifacts and deliverables.
• Provide support to team members to help unblock them as needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, adapting quickly to changes.
• Communicate effectively both internally and externally towards clients and users, particularly developers.
• Produce high-quality documentation for external clients and users.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading a technical team, with strong proficiency in Rust.
• Ability to think strategically and convert product requirements into engineering solutions.
• Experience in unblocking and supporting team members.
• Thrives in a startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external interactions.
• Excellent documentation and writing skills for client and user communications.
• Plus: Experience with GraphQL servers

Hiring Timeline:

We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. Ideally, you will be able to start within two weeks. A one-month notice period is acceptable but not ideal. We are open to candidates starting part-time if necessary.

Location:

• Ideally based in Europe but exceptional candidates from other regions will also be considered
