International Scale-Up A leading observability platform is hiring a Software Engineer with experience in Rust & Scala to build and maintain cloud-native distributed systems. This is a unique opportunity to work with modern effect systems (ZIO, Cats Effect) while contributing to a platform that optimizes logs, metrics, traces, and security events—all while reducing operational costs by up to 70%.
Tech Stack You’ll Work With
- Languages: Scala (ZIO), Rust
- Infrastructure: Kafka, OpenSearch, Redis
- Cloud-native, microservices architecture
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and operate scalable, distributed systems in a production environment.
- Work on real-time observability solutions with OpenSearch & event-driven architectures.
- Collaborate on high-performance backend systems using Rust & functional Scala.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience with JVM-based languages (Scala preferred)
- Strong background in distributed systems & microservices
- Passion for functional programming & TDD
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with ZIO, Cats Effect, or similar modern effect systems
📍 Candidates must be based in Europe due to time zone alignment.
