Rust Developer for healthcare AI and data analytics company

Firemetrics is seeking an experienced Rust Back-End Developer with at least 3 years relevant work experience who will play a key role in building scalable, performant, and reliable software systems. You will work across the backend stack to deliver solutions that improve real-time healthcare analytics and interoperability.

Backend Development:

• Expertise in Rust for performant backend services (2 years relevant work experience minimum).
• Knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.

Database Management:

• Experience with PostgreSQL for relational data management and query optimization.
• Proficiency with ClickHouse, Apache Druid, or similar tools for real-time analytics and high-performance data queries.

Data Streaming and Integration:

• Proficiency with Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architecture.

DevOps & Infrastructure:

• Solid skills in Linux for server and system-level operations.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) is a plus.
• Monitoring and observability with Grafana for visualizing system performance.

Software Architecture:

• Experience with microservices architecture and designing scalable, fault-tolerant systems.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer-facing problem-solving.
• Solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in an agile environment.
• Team player with proactive engagement and knowledge sharing.

Additional Skills:

• Testing: Familiarity with unit testing and integration testing.
• Security: Awareness of secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP).
• Fluent in English and preferably German.
