Software Engineering Manager

DPS Electronics is seeking a high level leader who can support and manage DPS's Software Development Team. This person must be able to fulfill project management responsibilities across several teams of software developers utilizing a variety of programming languages.

This individual will provide management for team priorities and projects. This position will assist team members with problems, provide guidance, resource management, and programming support when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Manage task assignment and scheduling across multiple teams of software engineers
• Communicate and collaborate with other disciplinary teams (upper management, electrical and mechanical engineers) to achieve project deliverables
• Create and execute long-term plans for technology development and team growth
• Address team conflicts and foster a collaborative environment
• Provide coding guidance for a multi-language oriented team Perform supporting code tasks for software projects

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience working in software engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams and software projects Experienced with Rust, C, JavaScript, Java, and Python
• Experienced with development and deployment pipelines
• Experienced with Source Control and Project Management software Experienced with Docker and Kubernetes

• Proven team leadership and management expertise
• Focused on quality driven results within realistic deadlines
• Comfortable managing teams with shifting priorities
• Firm understanding of full stack development processes
