We’re hiring on behalf of a client in the enterprise software space, a company undertaking a significant growth initiative with a goal to scale annual revenue from $3B to $6B. As part of this transformation, they’re launching a high-impact project and looking for a Senior or Principal Software Engineer to help build a foundational system for a major enterprise.
You’ll be a hands-on engineer who has held long-term roles (multi-year tenures) and thrives in complex, performance-critical environments.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and build scalable, high-performance backend systems.
- Lead critical aspects of a greenfield project with direct impact on business growth.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across engineering and product.
- Mentor team members and contribute to establishing engineering best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong systems/backend engineering experience in a production setting.
- Experience with asynchronous/concurrent programming and modern networking stacks.
- Track record in long-term, senior-level roles (no job-hoppers).
- Experience with distributed or high-throughput systems is a plus.
- Rust: a huge plus (Async Rust/Tokio experience is great), but not a hard requirement—backgrounds in C/C++/Go/Java/Kotlin/Scala are equally welcome, especially if you’re keen to work with or learn Rust.
- Location: Pacific or Mountain Time Zones in the US or Canada.
If you’re a principled, pragmatic engineer who loves ownership and building real-world systems at scale—and you’re excited about working with Rust (or learning it)—we’d love to hear from you.
