We are hiring a systems minded Software Engineer for a fast growing European startup building high performance backend systems in Rust.

You will work on complex distributed services that power large scale e commerce and automation workflows. Prior Rust experience is not required, but you must have strong foundations in C, C++, or systems programming, curiosity, and a willingness to learn Rust quickly.

This is a great opportunity to join a lean, engineering driven team working on performance critical code that impacts millions of transactions every day.


What You Will Work On

  • Designing and implementing backend services in Rust
  • Working with PostgreSQL, gRPC, Docker, and Debian based infrastructure
  • Contributing to systems that handle tens of millions of requests daily
  • Building APIs, parallel computing components, and integrations with external partners
  • Writing clean, well structured code following best practices (monorepo, microservices)

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree from a top engineering school or university
  • Experience in C, C++, or Rust with solid low level programming foundations
  • 3+ years of professional experience in engineering (scale ups or start ups ideal)
  • Curiosity, persistence, and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies
  • Strong logic, math, and problem solving skills
  • English fluency (French not required)

Nice to Have

  • Background in backend development, distributed systems, or integrations
  • Familiarity with Agile processes, GitHub, Notion, and cloud environments (GCP, Azure, etc.)
  • Passion for mentoring junior developers and improving code quality
