A well-funded, high-growth database startup is hiring senior Rust Engineers to help build the next generation of high-performance search and analytics technology. They are nearing product–market fit and expanding their core engineering team as they move from early “zero-to-one” development toward a polished 1.0 release.
This company is focused on simplifying data infrastructure. Many teams today rely on multiple specialized databases for search, analytics, and transactional workloads, leading to higher complexity, inconsistent performance, and unnecessary operational cost.
Their vision is to eliminate that fragmentation by delivering a fast, reliable, and unified database platform that replaces the need for multiple systems, resulting in simpler architecture, higher performance, and dramatically lower total cost of ownership.
You will work on core database components: indexing, storage, query execution, performance engineering, and internals-level systems design. The ideal candidate has strong Rust experience and a background in databases or low-level systems, but the company values adaptable, fast-learning engineers over perfect alignment.
