Systems Engineer

Join a team building one of the most advanced open-source data processing platforms in the world. We are rethinking how data is queried and processed, creating a seamless experience from local development to production-scale workloads without the need to rewrite code. Our framework is rapidly growing in adoption and plays a central role in the daily workflows of a global community of developers and data practitioners.

What you’ll do

• Push the performance limits of a modern query engine
• Experiment with optimization techniques, from low-level bit manipulation to larger architectural design shifts
• Translate theoretical performance improvements into working implementations used in real-world systems
• Work in a small, highly technical team with direct feedback from an active user community

What we’re looking for

• Solid fundamentals in systems programming (Rust or another low-level language)
• Hands-on experience with profiling and performance tuning
• A passion for writing efficient, production-ready code
• Ability to take ownership and thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment

Location preference

We have a strong preference for candidates who can work on-site in Amsterdam. However, we are also open to exceptional candidates working remotely within the EU.
