Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise Platform (EP)
SurrealDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Enterprise Platform development. This essential role focuses on enhancing and scaling SurrealDB's enterprise platform offerings. Based in London or in a remote setting, you will use your extensive experience to drive the development of a robust, scalable, and secure enterprise platform. Your contributions will be key in shaping SurrealDB's impact in the enterprise segment, ensuring our platform meets the complex and evolving needs of our business clients.
What you will do:
- design and develop new features and functionalities for the SurrealDB enterprise platform
- collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand enterprise client needs and deliver effective solutions
- enhance platform scalability, reliability, and performance to meet enterprise standards
- lead integration efforts with various enterprise systems and technologies
- ensure high security standards are met and maintained throughout the platform
- participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and support
- contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices and processes
- mentor junior software engineers and contribute to the team's skill development
- stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in enterprise software development.
About you:
- proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer focusing on enterprise platform development or similar roles
- extensive knowledge of enterprise software development, architecture, and best practices
- strong programming skills in languages including Rust, C, or Go
- experience with cloud technologies and distributed systems
- understanding of security best practices in enterprise software development
- excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- passion for technology and continuous learning in the rapidly evolving software landscape
- adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and with remote teams.
