Engineering Manager - Database Systems

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Mentor and coach engineers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Project Management: Plan and oversee projects to ensure timely and effective delivery.
• Technical Oversight: Guide architecture, design, and code reviews to maintain quality.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product managers and architects to define and deliver impactful solutions.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in workflows and team efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in distributed or database systems.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong proficiency in Rust, Scala or C++.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and database design.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with technologies like Apache Arrow, Kubernetes, and cloud storage systems (e.g., AWS S3).
